About

As an award-winning children’s book author based in Western Massachusetts, I am deeply committed to promoting kindness and addressing bullying through my stories. My journey into writing began after a fulfilling 47-year career as a registered nurse, where I cultivated a profound understanding of compassion and care—qualities that now permeate my storytelling.

My acclaimed K9 Fitzgerald Sniffs Out Bullies series is inspired by my son, a police officer, and his German Shepherd, Fitzgerald. Through these engaging stories, I aim to empower young readers to embrace acceptance and empathy, fostering a more compassionate world.

The transition from nursing to writing was driven by a desire to make a positive impact on children’s lives beyond the clinical setting. My firsthand experiences in healthcare have enriched my narratives, allowing me to tackle important social issues with authenticity and sensitivity.

Beyond writing, I actively engage with my community by participating in events and discussions that advocate for anti-bullying initiatives and the importance of kindness. This dedication has earned recognition and accolades, underscoring my passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.
